Golden Isles Oldies Senior Pickleball Tournament a Big Success!

The first ever Senior Pickleball Tournament to be held in the Golden Isles area proved to be a very successful event.  A total of 92 players age 50 and over participated in men’s, women’s and mixed doubles events.  Medals were awarded in 14 different age/skill level divisions.  Partnering with our friends from North Glynn Pickleball, SSIPB held the tournament October 12th and 13th at the new North Glynn Recreation Complex pickleball courts.  Tournament play was managed by the kind folks from Southern Pickleball.

A substantial portion of the funds raised through the tournament will be donated to the Gold Coast Parkinson’s Organization to support their adaptive exercise program for those suffering from Parkinson’s.
